The IMSAT pledge to nature

Year:
2011

Young, tropical trees nested at the foot of Mount Makiling, Laguna on 18 February 2011. Hoes and shovels armed the Integrated Management System Action Team (IMSAT) to plant 41 trees from the Coconut, Narra, and Molave species. The former incinerator plant of the Integrated Waste Management, Inc. in Barangay Putinglupa, Calamba, Laguna now serves as nourishing bed for trees.

Tree planting is a carbon offsetting activity that reduces carbon footprints caused by daily carbon emissions coming from vehicles. These include vans, trucks, and other vehicles within the Lina Group circle. Carbon footprint is the impact left by our everyday activities involving transport and electricity that contribute to the greenhouse gases. Carbon footprint affects climate change.

Scientific calculations require Cargohaus to plant 6000 trees. The activity co-relates with the Environmental Management System.

Mission sustainability ignites for earth, for environment, and for life.
