Cargohaus inaugurates new aircraft

Cargohaus, a pioneer in cargo handling and modern warehousing industry in the Philippines, introduces its newly acquired powerful three-way convertible Cessna Grand Caravan on 21 July 2011 at the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Hangar in Pasay City.
Cargohaus President Rudy Fulo says that “this is the first type of aircraft facility in the Philippines right now”. Chief Flight Safety Officer Captain Danny Tan adds that the new aircraft is capable of a long-range fuel efficient flight. He is also confident of the aircraft’s stability during severe weather flying as he used to fly the same model with FedEx.
Bearing its tail number RP-C6021, the aircraft is a 1750-kilogram full freighter and can carry a maximum of 14 passengers. It is convertible into an airborne ambulance equipped with the Medical Evacuation Kit or MEDIVAC that includes a complete life support facility.
A sole Cessna pilot first landed the new Cargohaus aircraft in the Philippines on 20 May 2011 at the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport. The five-day journey from Wichita, Kansas, USA along Micronesia islands tested the aircraft endurance. It arrived free from technical glitch.
Uplifting Philippine aviation
CAAP Director General Ramon Gutierrez congratulates the Chairman for being one with CAAP in developing the civil aviation. As the Philippines ranked to have the highest growth in Asia, through the aircraft acquisition, Chairman Lina hopes “that this airplane’s dedication will be able to do something for our country as always”.
The aircraft’s first official flight is scheduled on July 23 to bring specialist doctors to Caticlan where the 11th Lina Group Medical-Dental Mission in Kalibo, Aklan is held.
In coincidence, the availability of tail number RP-C6021 triggered the company to acquire the number because on a quick glance, it’s RP-CGO21. GO21 is one of the Lina Group companies and 21 being the favorite number of our Chairman Bert Lina, shares Cargohaus President Rudy Fulo.
